We solve water problems using modern tools.
ManageWater Consulting, Inc., focuses on managing water projects that integrate technology and best practices.
ManageWater Consulting, Inc., has over 25 years of experience managing water and environmental projects in the Commercial, Institutional, and Industrial (CII) sectors. Our experience includes developing and implementing water efficiency and water and wastewater management plans, regulatory compliance plans for water quality and efficiency monitoring, evaluating water use at institutional facilities, and analyzing water data for supply and demand management. ManageWater Consulting, Inc., is experienced in developing and communicating management strategies.
We also design, implement, and document studies that test new technologies, such as Advanced Metering Infrastructure, (AMI), smart irrigation controllers, Aerial imagery from drones, and water-saving practices. Recent projects include managing and developing a 2020 Urban Water Management Plan and Water Conservation Plan in compliance with California regulatory requirements, developing and implementing a survey to determine the status of AMI implementation at 32 San Francisco Bay Area water agencies, and testing the use of aerial imagery to detect water leaks.
Managewater Consulting, Inc., teams with other consultants and experts based on project needs.
We can help your team:
Integrate data about water use, assets, projects, and customers.

Use geospatial tools to visualize water operations, planning, and forecasting.
Construct a multi-dimensional approach for projects to provide broader perspectives.
Margaret (Marty) Laporte
Marty Laporte, M.S., has managed water and environmental projects for more than 25 years. She has broad experience in working with interdisciplinary teams and implementing water compliance, quality, efficiency, emergency, and drought response projects for the commercial, industrial, and institutional (CII) sector.
As the Principal for ManageWater Consulting, Inc., her focus is on integrating innovative technologies and practices for water management. “Detecting water leaks using drone technology."
Prior to ManageWater, she was the Associate Director at Stanford University's Utilities Department. During her career at Stanford she developed demonstration projects using Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), data analytics, and weather-based irrigation technology. Marty served as a Board member on the Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency's (BAWSCA) Board that represents the interests of 26 retail water agencies who purchase water from the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission.
In March 2015, she was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Silicon Valley Water Conservation Coalition. Ms. Laporte has an M.S. degree in Geology from San Jose State University and a B.A. in Biology and Environmental Studies from U.C. Santa Cruz.
